This Replica Oval Cut Cross has been produced by our local jeweller, Jo Kelsey, who has been given exclusive access to the two gold crosses held in the collection here at Jane Austen's House.
The crosses, one oval and one emerald cut, were given to Jane and her sister Cassandra by their brother Charles, who purchased them from prize money he had earnt. Find out more about the crosses here.
These replicas are 9ct gold and are hand set with a dark citrine, specially sourced to be as close in colour to the topaz in the sisters crosses. Every setting has been expertly and delicately replicated down to the tiniest detail.
Each cross will be made to order by our local jeweller. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
The gold chain is 18". The oval cross is 4-3cm. On the chain is a gold tag with the jewellers hallmark and the Chawton logo.
The cross will arrive in a beautiful Regency style navy box featuring an image of Chawton Cottage on the inside, along with a certificate of authenticity.
