FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE ON EXCLUSIVE REPLICA JANE AUSTEN RINGS!
Exclusive to Jane Austen’s House - a true and authentic copy of Jane Austen’s own gold and turquoise ring, the original of which can be seen at Jane Austen’s House, Chawton.
In sterling silver (the ring is also available in 9ct gold).
Jo Kelsey, of Originals Jewellery, is a jeweler local to the Museum and is the only person to have had access to the original ring to create this authentic copy. Like the original, the ring is available in 9ct gold, or in sterling silver. Hallmarked inside the band is the word Chawton, copied from Jane’s own hand using manuscripts in the Museum collection.
After her death, Jane’s ring was kept by her sister Cassandra and passed down through the Austen family until 2012, when it was put up for sale by auction at Sotheby’s and then purchased by the Museum in 2013. Experts believe the ring was made between 1750 and 1800.
The ring is hand finished and made to order, which may take up to 6 weeks, depending on size availability.
The replica ring uses the finest Arizonian non-veined turquoise and is considered to be as near in type to Jane’s own ring as possible. It is a natural stone so may contain some natural blemishes and colour variations. Each ring comes beautifully boxed and with a certificate of authenticity. Please note that turquoise is a natural stone and therefore the shade can vary to the one shown in the picture.
